Ben's Texas Hold'em is a free game of Texas Hold'em Poker.  Play Texas Hold'em against the computer, without having to risk your life savings!

Current Version is 1.0.0.4

• Plays authentic Texas Hold'em Poker against 5 computer opponents
• Computer players will act tricky, sometimes even bluffing you
• Your current hand is displayed below your cards (e.g. Pair, Two Pair, Straight) to help you play
• The rank of your two starting cards is shown, to let you know how good those cards are, with 100 being the best cards
• Hear the sounds of chips being thrown in the pot, and cards being dealt
• Watch the chips get thrown in the pot, then raked out by the winner
• Its not real money, so you won't lose your shirt!

Download & Installation

Click here to download:  Bens_Texas_Holdem_Setup.exe  (1.0 MB)

Click the link above and choose "Save As".  Save the file to your Desktop or to a folder you can easily locate.  Note that the file is an "exe" file, not a "zip" file.  When the download is finished, you can run the install executable.  See Installation notes below.  If you have problems downloading, try turning off any download accelerator utilities.

Installation

This program requires a Windows compatible operating system (ME, NT, XP, 2000).

To install, just run the setup executable.  After installing, you can run the icon on your desktop.

Getting Started

Simply start Ben's Texas Hold'em from the icon.  You will start playing with $100 in play chips.  Now its all up to you to decide to Fold, Call, Bet, or Raise!

Tips

• You can use keyboard shortcuts for these actions:
  • Press F to Fold
  • Press C to Check or Call
  • Press B to Bet
  • Press R to Raise
• Its best not to stay in every hand.  Only stay in (Call) when you have decent starting cards.  Below your 2 starting cards is the cards "Rank".  A Rank of 100 means you have the best starting cards possible (two aces), a rank of 0 means you have the worst starting cards (a 7 and a 2 different suits).  Try to only stay in on hands where your cards rank is 70 or greater (unless you are on the Big Blind)
• Don't Fold if you have the option to Check.  Check lets you continue without risking any money, so why not see some more cards for free?

If you play poker on PartyPoker.com , be sure to check out PokerTron.  PokerTron is a poker utility that provides live advice and hand statistics for PartyPoker.com Players.  While you play you can see your opponent's stats for how often they raise (and with which cards), etc.  PokerTron displays all cards shown in the last hand, which is much easier than viewing the Last Hand History.
